Karen came to The Guild in July 2024 after serving as a special education teacher for Valley Collaborative School in Billerica. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Sacred Heart University. Prior to coming to The Guild, Karen taught seventeen years in the NJ Public School System. Today, Karen is pursuing another master’s degree in special education as well as a NASAT Special Education Advocate Board Certification. Currently, at The Guild, Karen enjoys interacting with both students and staff, having opportunities to see her students shine in the community! In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family (and ferrets), and sunny days at the beach.
